MONTECITO, Calif.- Dominican women's volleyball traveled down south Saturday afternoon to square off against the Westmont Warriors. The Warriors are in their inaugural season competing in the PacWest conference so the Penguins will be traveling down to Santa Barbara more often. Westmont jumped out the gates fast in this one scoring the first three points, and then ultimately winning the match three sets to zero.
Avery Schneider, who came back from injury in the last match against HPU, led the Penguins in the kills department slamming home nine. Senior
Ella Heckman was second on the team with eight kills to go along with a pair of digs.
Lauren Wiley, the Illinois native, rounded out the top three in kills for the Penguins posting five.

Camille Rivers led Dominican in assists dishing out 12 while freshmen
Chloe Cruz and
Melena Wong were second and third on the team with nine and three assists. The Penguins have many talented freshmen, and as the season goes along, they will be called upon to make an impact.
Kali Young, a freshman from South Carolina, finished the game with seven digs and four kills. Senior
Rein Bocage led the Pengs in digs tallying 11. This marked Bocage's 10
th time this season posting double-digit digs.
The Penguins are back on the court Thursday Oct. 10
th at 7 p.m. for a home conference match with CUI.
