SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – Dominican men's soccer had its second straight offensive explosion at Kennelly Field topping Jessup 4-0 Saturday afternoon.

Alejandro Reyes collected his sixth shutout of the year with two saves as the Penguin (7-6-1, 4-4-0 PacWest) defense kept most of the Warriors' (2-8-4, 2-5-1 PacWest) 11 shots away from dangerous areas.
Diego Grande and
Anthony Stainer each collected three points on the afternoon with a goal and an assist each.

After a slow open from both teams, things began to heat up in the fourth minute as Eduardo Guillen took a shot from the top right corner of the box forcing
Alejandro Reyes to make the save hugging his post. Dominican responded in the 11th minute with a perfect ball into the box to
Diego Grande who was taken down earning a penalty. Grande took the penalty and slotted it inside the left post for the 1-0 lead.

It took 30 seconds for Grande to find himself in the middle of another opportunity as he got a foot on a cross attempt, pushing it forward to himself to take on the keeper 1-on-1 with Maxx Willard winning the initial challenge pushing the ball away from his net. The ball landed right in front of
Anthony Stainer who took a right footed shot towards the unoccupied right post for the 2-0 lead.

Dominican had two good looking chances to open the second half as Grande appeared to score one goal seconds into the half but the flag went up for the offside call. In the 47th minute, Dimani Matlin had a good look at the goal on a header attempt from the middle of the box but Willard made the save to his right to keep the Warriors within striking distance.

In the 65th minute,
Drew Swenson took a ball up the middle finding some good space 20 yards out and his right-footed attempt forced Willard to make a diving save to his left to push the ball wide of his net. Jessup earned a free kick in the 71st minute a foot from the top of the box and Donovan Carillo had a good look at the net on the shot putting it high towards the right post but it glanced off the crossbar and out of play.

In the 74th minute, Stainer took a ball deep into the left corner and crossed it back to the top of the box to the trailing runner,
Cole Porter, and Porter knocked the ball into the back netting for the 3-0 lead. The Penguins added one more insurance goal as
Joe Blakely popped up cross into the box with his knee and
Norman Tellez beat the keeper to the ball and head it over him and into the net for the 4-0 final margin.

Dominican will stay home and take on Concordia University Irvine on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. PDT at Kennelly Field.
