San Rafael, CALIF. -- Dominican University of California (4-3) took down the University of Minnesota (1-4) by a score of 15-13 on Saturday.
Sophomore captain
Kenny Seiler buried five goals while adding a trio of helpers with graduate student

Weather was not in the favor of either side in the early stages of warmups, but the sun shined through upon the opening draw. Dominican found itself with an early advantage, up 3-0 before finishing the first quarter with a 4-2 lead with much courtesy going to senior
Maxwell Garcia for a quick stick goal that helped double the Penguin lead. The defense also did its part in the first half, allowing just four goals to a team that later went on to beat Dominican rival Stanford behind an outburst of first half goals a day after losing to the Penguins. Defensive midfield
Addie Wilkinson steer the ship with a pair of ground balls and interceptions in addition to both
Joe Gerke and Seiler scooping five ground balls to help Dominican take a 7-4 lead into halftime with Zach Dickson adding one final goal before the horn.
Sophomore
Ethan May set the Penguins off on the right foot with a face off win to start the half before eventually going 11-4 at the draw with senior
Mitchell Sanders winning four draws of his own. The Golden Gophers found themselves with a trio of scoring runs in the second half but junior goalie
Brandon Stuckey collected 19 saves to help steady the ship in addition to a multitude of turnovers crated by senior caption
Keenan Mai and transfer
Travis Jones.
The Dominican offense finished the game with an incredible stat of an assist on all 15 goals as seniors
James Walker and
Brennan Krebs each finished the games with four points apiece, helping Dominican walk off the field with the 15-13 win over the Golden Gophers. Dominican will now take its talents to Texas for a pair of spring break clashes against Southern Methodist University (SMU) and the University of Texas.Â
