San Rafael, CA -- Dominican University of California (7-5) took down Texas A&M (4-5) by a score of 13-10 on Kennelly Field on Saturday.

Maxwell Pierce started the day off strong, notching his 100
th career goal that gave the Penguins a 1-0 advantage, a tally that helped Dominican take a 3-1 lead into the second frame. The second quarter kicked off in similar fashion for Dominican with senior
James Walker netting his first of four goals on the afternoon. The defense also did its part on the other side of the field, allowing only three goals in the quarter to help Dominican take a 7-4 lead into half time.

The faceoff unit came in clutch during the third quarter with sophomore
Ethan May finishing the day going 13-6 in the faceoff circle while the defense kept the train rolling as junior transfer
Travis Jones led the team in caused turnovers during the course of the game. The Dominican offense found the back of the net three times in the final frame, one of which came when graduate student Charlie Hurst found sophomore captain
Kenny Seiler for a goal that snatched momentum for the Penguins before walking off the field with a 13-10 victory.

The Dominican men's lacrosse team now looks ahead to next weekend when it starts conference play against The University of Nevada, Reno Wolfpack.
