Dominican University of California's Riley Friauf was named to the D2CCA All-West Region Second team, the Regional Committee announced Thursday.

"I knew my role going into the season which consisted of being a leader and being a persistent player every game. I would not have been nearly as successful this year if it weren't for my teammates and coaches who pushed me to be the best player I could be. I am forever grateful for Dominican, and all my coaches, teammates, trainers, professors and staff that helped make my experience here so amazing."

Friauf finished the season with a remarkable stat line that reads 20.7 points per game, 9.6 assists and a .487 field goal percentage. The Vancouver, Washington, native also tallied 558 total points, 259 rebounds, 172 made free throws, 43 assists, 35 steals and 19 blocks. Nationally, Friauf found herself atop many charts. The graduate student ranked No. 6 in points per game (20.7), No. 1 in successful free throws (172), No. 43 in rebounds per game (9.6), No. 47 in total rebounds (247) and No. 35 in defensive rebounds per game (6.9).

"This season is one I will remember forever and I am so grateful just to have been a part of such an amazing team," Friauf said.

Dominican finished with an 18-10 record, posting a 15-6 conference record after winning its final seven regular season games.

"This season obviously did not end the way we wanted — going out in the first round of the playoffs — but I'm still so grateful for the amazing season we had," Friauf said.
