IRVINE, Calif. – Senior forward Natalie Diaz earned her third PacWest Player of the Week honors after helping Dominican women's basketball to a 3-0 week after the Christmas break.

Diaz scored 73 points on the week to become just the sixth PacWest women's basketball player to reach 1,500 career points. Diaz is approaching the all-time Dominican record held by Alisha Flaaten (1,565 points) since her senior season in 2010.

Diaz finished out 2018 with her seventh 30-point game of the season to go with seven rebounds in a 94-46 victory over the University of Hawai'i at Hilo. She then had her best all-around performance of the season in a 77-62 victory over previously unbeaten Hawai'i Pacific, nearly recording a triple-double with 29 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks. Despite facing triple teams throughout the final game against Chaminade, Diaz scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
