Natalie Diaz notched a double-double to lead the Penguins (16-8, 10-6 PacWest), finishing with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore

Sandra Ikeora finished with 12. Sophomore
Marisa Mondave also tallied 12 points, shooting 4-6 from 3-point range. Demoria White and Tatum Brimley each finished with eight points to lead the Eagles (11-12, 8-9 PacWest).
Dominican jumped out of the gate to take a big advantage early. Ikeora put in a layup to give the Penguins a 9-2 lead less than three minutes into the game. Mondave hit a pair of 3-pointers later in the period, helping the Penguins to a 21-11 advantage at the end of the first quarter.
Dominican slowly stretched their lead out in the second quarter as Diaz and freshman
Julia Razo hit back-to-back jumpers nearly halfway through the frame, giving the Penguins a 32-17 lead. Dominican found a rhythm offensively later in the period as Razo drained a 3-pointer from the left wing to make it 37-20 with less than three minutes remaining before halftime. Diaz followed with a driving layup on the next Penguins' possession and then junior
Alanna Scott hit a 3-pointer from the right corner as Dominican extended their lead to 46-28 at the break.
The Penguins did not let halftime slow their momentum, starting the third quarter with a 7-0 run, capped by a 3-pointer from Scott. A few minutes later, Mondave put in another triple and Ikeora followed with a layup as Dominican's lead ballooned to 61-33. The Penguins took a 69-40 advantage into the fourth quarter to win going away.
Just two nights after allowing 125 points to Azusa Pacific, Dominican was much improved defensively. The Penguins held Biola to just 26.9 percent shooting for the game, while allowing just 10 points in the paint.
