Natalie Diaz made it back-to-back PacWest Player of the Week honors after leading Dominican women's basketball to two more wins and leading the conference in scoring and rebounding.
Diaz started the week with her second double-double of the season with 30 points and a career-high 18 rebounds. She added four assists in the 73-56 win over Notre Dame de Namur. Diaz then logged a season-low of 26 minutes against Holy Names, but that didn't slow her down any as she finished with 26 points on 64.7 percent shooting.
The Penguins are now 4-0 in PacWest play and 6-1 overall. Dominican entered its bye week before a big matchup Monday, Dec. 17, against Azusa Pacific at 5:30 p.m. PST. The Cougars are also 4-0 in conference play and tied with the Penguins on top of the standings.
