Box Score SAN RAFAEL, Calif. -- Dominican's men's soccer team opened its 2017 season with a 3-0 victory Friday against the visiting Southern Oregon.

Defensively, Raiders goalie Wyatt Zabinski collected two saves but allowed three goals. He was replaced in the 69th minute after Raley's goal by Damian Alatorre, who had two saves as well. For the Penguins, junior
Christian Lathrop earned four saves and a shutout.

Travis Hoffman had the shot off the post in the 56th minute that almost resulted in a goal for the Raiders, but the Penguins managed to hold off their opponent in the second half. Sophomore
Luke Raley capped the scoring in the 69th minute settling a bouncing ball at the top of the box and turning to fire a curling shot into the top right corner of the goal to make it 3-0.
