Azusa, Calif. — The Dominican University of California men's soccer team was shutout 2-0 at Azusa Pacific on Thursday.
The Penguins (1-7-0/1-2-0 PacWest) were outshot 22-5 by Azusa Pacific (2-4-2/2-2-0 PacWest) and limited to one shot on goal. That shot came in the 69th minute from
Austen McGregor but his shot inside the box was saved by Jorge Pesquera.
Azusa Pacific grabbed the lead in the 13th minute when freshman Arturo Astorga scored. Astorga took a pass through the middle from Callum Wallace and scored from 18 yards out. Rene Santos put the game out of reach in the 87th minute when he put back a misplayed ball by the Penguins back line.
