IRVINE, Calif. — Dominican University of California women's soccer players
Michelle Li and
Mariah Meza have been named to the 2016 All-PacWest Women's Soccer Third Team.
After missing 2015 due to injury, Li tallied a team-high five goals with two assists in 2016. The sophomore midfielder tied for ninth in the PacWest in goals (5) and 10th in goals per game (.31). The Benicia, California native was also named PacWest Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 3-10.
Meza had a team-high 13 points with five goals and three assists. The junior forward ranked eighth in the PacWest in points (13), points per game (.87), and goals per game (.33). The Windsor, California native was also 10th in game-winning goals with two.
The Penguins finished with a 7-7-4 overall mark and a 6-5-2 conference record, good for seventh place in the 14-team PacWest.
