IRVINE, Calif. – Dominican University of California women's basketball player
Alexis Price has been named this week's PacWest Women's Basketball Defender of the Week. The award is based on games played Nov. 14-20.
Price won the second-consecutive weekly defender honor for Dominican, helping the Penguins win their home opener over San Francisco State. She had eight points, four rebounds, five assists and three steals in 21 minutes. The junior guard from Sacramento, Calif. had steals on consecutive possessions late in the third quarter and was fouled after each. Price made all four free throws to put the Penguins up by eight heading into the final period. She finished with eight points, five assists, four rebounds, and three steals.
