ST. GEORGE, Utah — The Dominican University of Californai men's soccer team battled at first-place Dixie State on Saturday but fell 1-0.
It was another tough loss for a Penguins (3-12-1/3-7-1 PacWest) squad that has suffered seven one-loss goals, four in conference action. Dixie State (12-3-0/10-0-0 PacWest) netted the game-winner in the 21st minute on Dominic Damato's first goal of the season. A cross through the box reached Damato, who scored from three yards out.

Christian Lathrop saved six other Trailblazers shots. DSU tallied 17 shots and put seven on goal. Dominican had seven shots, with four from
Jordan Zamora, and had three shots on frame. Bradley Trella saved all three attempts.
Dominican wraps up the season at home with matches versus Chaminade on Thurdsday, Nov. 3 and BYU-Hawaii on Saturday, Nov. 5. Both matches will begin at noon. Live stats and pay-per-view video will be available at
