RIVERSIDE, Calif. — The Dominican University of California women's soccer team saw its six-match unbeated streak snapped on Saturday in a 2-0 loss at California Baptist.
Dominican (6-5-4/5-3-2 PacWest) hadn't lost since October 1. The Penguins slide to sixth place with three matches remaining while CBU (7-4-3/6-1-2 PacWest) sits in fourth place.
The Lancers scored once each half. Shortly after a CBU shot slammed off the post, Justene Kesterson netted an unassisted goal in the 32nd minute off of a defensive deflection. Desarae Felix scored on a penalty kick in the 73rd minute after a costly foul in the box by
Keira Dagy.
Michelle Li attempted a team-high four shots for the Penguins.

Stephanie Pawek all attempted a shot on goal.
Ivy Torres, who suffered an ankle injury in Thursday's win at Concordia, was unavailable. The Penguins will have some to rest before heading to St. George, Utah for Dominican's final road match of the season. The Penguins will face third-place Dixie State (9-5-0/7-2-0 PacWest) on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. (6 p.m. Pacific).
