SEASIDE, Calif. — The Dominican University of California softball team dropped a pair of non-conference games, 11-0 in five innings and 8-2, at No. 3 Cal State Monterey Bay on Tuesday afternoon.
Cori Reinhardt quieted the Penguins bats in game one, scattering three hits over five innings, as she improved to 11-0 on the season.

Tayler Munoz had the Penguins' three hits. Dominican's pitchers walked nine batters and allowed eight hits. Starter
Ashlyn Moriarity was charged with the loss, giving up six runs in three innings.
Johnson kept her hot bat going with two hits in game two, including an RBI double in the seventh inning.
Catlyn Cavender added her team-leading sixth home run in the fourth on an 0-2 pitch with two outs. The Otters took the lead early with a three-run first and added on with five runs in the third. Starter
Katelyn Harden gave up all eight runs in two and two thirds innings of work.
Gaby Katafias pitched three and a third scoreless innings of relief, allowing just one hit. Harden and
Alyssa Lanza had the Penguins' other two hits on the day.
Dominican heads to Cal State Stanislaus on Wednesday, March 11 for another non-conference doubleheader. The games will be under the lights at 4 and 6 p.m.
