Allyssa Weatherd has been named this week's PacWest Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week. She shares the honor with UH Hilo's Kirstie Williams. The awards are based on games played Feb. 9-15.
This is the second time Weatherd has earned the honor this season. The Carrollton, Texas native averaged 13.0 points, 13.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game in two wins for the Penguins. She scored 18 points, and had 14 rebounds and six assists, both career-highs, in a win over Holy Names. Weatherd is first in the PacWest in field goal percentage (55.5 percent), third in scoring (17.2 ppg) and 14th in rebounding (6.8 rpg).
