FRESNO, Calif. — The Dominican University of California women's soccer team saw its three-match win streak come to an end with a 3-0 loss at Fresno Pacific on Wednesday.
Dominican fell to 3-6-1 overall and 3-2-0 in PacWest action. FPU recorded its fifth shutout of the season and improved to 5-3-1 and 3-1-1 in PacWest play. The Sunbirds now have 10 points in the standings while Dominican is one of five teams with nine.

Lily Dubuc tried to give Dominican the early advantage but had her shot in the 12th minute saved. Instead, Mariah Montoya later scored scored in the 34th minute to put the Sunbirds up 1-0.
Dominican applied the pressure to begin the second half with Dubuc and sophomore
Mariah Meza taking shots in the 46th and 49th minutes, however both were blocked. Freshman
Danielle Finkes had her shot in the 50th minute saved and Bailey Kaiser's shot in the 53rd minute was also saved. The Sunbirds went on to score two more times, another Montoya goal in the 69th minute, then a Bianka Garcia insurance goal in the 74th minute.
Dominican will head to Belmont, California on Saturday, Oct. 10 to face Notre Dame de Namur (2-6/2-2 PacWest) at 11 a.m. Parking at NDNU will be limited on Saturday due to homecoming activites. Live stats will be available at
