FRESNO, Calif. — The Dominican University of California men's soccer team had its first multiple-goal match of the season on Wednesday but it wasn't nearly enough in a 7-2 loss at Fresno Pacific.
Alvaro Nogales scored his first two goals of the season for the first-place Sunbirds (7-1-2/4-0-1 PacWest) and FPU led 3-0 at halftime and led 5-0 thanks to Nogales' third goal of the night.

The Penguins actually outshot FPU 12-11 in the second half. It was a physical game that featured 35 fouls and seven yellow cards between the two teams.
