Box Score HONOLULU, Hawai'i — The Dominican University of California women's soccer team turned in another signature performance on Friday. The Lady Penguins received contributions from up and down the lineup to begin their road trip to Hawai'i with a 3-0 victory at Chaminade University.

Freshman Lauren Gollnick got things going for Dominican (7-6-1/6-4-1) just six minutes in when she netted her fifth goal of the season from team co-captain Julianna Bratsberg.

Bratsberg scored a pair of goals in the second half to seal up the win.  She took a pass from sophomore defender Megan Hanson in the 63rd minute and followed that up in the 66th minute with her team-leading seventh goal of the season on a pass from Gollnick, who also tallied the fifth assist of her rookie campaign.

The Lady Penguins launched 17 shots, 10 on goal. Bratsberg took four shots on goal and Gollnick fired a pair. Kaitlynn Baptista, Kendra Corsberg, Alex Moran, and Sara Pimental also placed shots on goal.

The Dominican defense, anchored by Hanson, Kathryn Ripple, and Emily Whitaker forced the Silver Swords (0-14/0-12) to force shots and allowed just one shot on goal. Junior Megan Herring was there to stop it and earned her fifth shutout of the season. Her save percentage stands at .911, which is third best among NCAA Division II goalkeepers.

Dominican, who has won four of its last six matches, faces Hawai'i Pacific University on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 3:00 p.m. in Hawaii. The Lady Penguins wrap up the trip with a visit to BYU-Hawaii on Tuesday, Oct. 30. The Lady Penguins return home to finish the season on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 1:30 p.m. vs. Point Loma.
