KANEOHE, Hawai'i — The Dominican University of California men's soccer team took home a tough loss on Saturday, falling 2-1 in overtime to Pacific West Conference opponent Hawai'i Pacific University.
Pierrick Cassin put the Sea Warriors (8-6-0/6-3-0) up early when he came up with the goal after a scramble in front of the net in the 34th minute.

David Mendez in the 74th minute, and the freshman delivered the equalizer for the Penguins (3-9-3/3-6-2).
With just 42 seconds remaining in overtime, Isaiah Guth found Kainoa Kahui for the game-winning header off a throw in.
Mendez and Guevara each took two shots on goal for the Penguins.
Dominican returns home from Hawai'i with an otherwise successful 2-1-2 roadtrip. Dominican faces Academy of Art University on Saturday, October 30 when the Penguins will don pink jerseys as part of Dominican Athletics' efforts to raise awareness and support the fight against breast cancer. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. at Forest Meadows Field.
