Kimi Nakamura drained a three-pointer under five minutes to play to extend the Dominican lead to a dozen. The Wildcats used a 14-7 run to finish the first half and trim the Dominican lead to 40-35 at the intermission.

The Wildcats began the second half with a 5-0 run to tie the game at 40. The next ten minutes mirrored the first half, as the two teams remained within three points of each other.
