FIRST HALF,
SECOND HALF
SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — The Dominican University of California men's soccer team fell 3-1 to Notre Dame de Namur University on Thursday afternoon in Pacific West Conference play.
The Penguins (7-10-1/4-7-1) and Argos (9-9-1/9-2-1) each had three shots on goals but the Argos connected on all three to come away with the victory.
NDNU got on the board first at the 15 minute off the corner kick to Chris Arceo.
Thomas Clinch found
Alec Ziegler just five minutes later in a scramble at the goalline to tie things up at one goal apiece.
However, just forty seconds into the second half, NDNU broke the tie when Christian Cannavina charged the goal and forced Dominican keeper
Matthew Carlson to approach, only to shoot the ball over Carlson's head.
The Argonauts added an insurance goal in the 50th minute.
The Penguins finish the season on the road with matches at Grand Canyon University in Arizona on Nov. 1 and Dixie State College of Utah on Nov. 3.
