Pat Huser was hired as the Athletics Department Operations Manager at Dominican University in December 2007, and was promoted to Associate Director of Athletics for Facilities in 2010.
Â
Huser oversees the daily operations and staffing of the Conlan Recreation Center and Allen Athletics Complex as the Associate Director of Athletics for Facilities, which staffs up to 30 employees each year. The recreation centers he oversees house the 12 Dominican athletics teams, Dominican students and Dominican staff and faculty, in addition to the hundreds of public recreation center members that use the facilities for exercising purposes. Huser also creates and oversees all Dominican University summer sports camps — camps that serve more than 100 campers per week — for up to eight weeks each summer. This includes coordinating and making plans for camp coaches, directors and administrators.
Â
Huser is the liaison with Dominican facilities, maintenance and security, and acts as the athletic department representative on many campus budgeting, safety and emergency preparedness boards. His role includes working with all athletic programs on annual calendaring, facility use and gameday operations. He routinely serves as the game and site manager at Dominican athletic events held on campus.
Â
Prior to Dominican, Huser served as the Logistics and Scheduling Manager and Director at Bay Area Educational Company after moving to San Francisco from Madison, Wisconsin, in 1999. While in Madison, he worked as a sports radio talk show host and legislative staffer from 1995-1999. Huser became a sports reporter for the Wisconsin State Journal in 1993 for two years after earning his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin.
Â
A native of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Huser now resides in Novato, California, with his wife, Sandy, and their two kids, Brett and Emma. Aside from his roles with Dominican, Huser has been involved as a coach and board member for Novato Little League Baseball for over 10 years.
