Zachary was hired as the Assistant Athletic Director for Facility Management and Athletic Communications at Dominican University in August 2023. He helps manage all the athletic facilities at Dominican University of California along with working with the director of communications for all game operations during home athletic events. Fidel also helps manage all public memberships for the Conlan Center and helps oversee the Dominican University summer sports camps.Â
Prior to joining the Penguins, Zachary served as the sports information graduate assistant at Concordia University, Irvine from 2021-23. He received his Master's in Athletic Administration and Coaching from Concordia University Irvine in May 2023. Zachary earned his Bachelor of Arts in sports journalism and communications from the University of Alabama in May 2018.
A native of San Diego, California, Zachary has had stops at Fox Sports San Diego, Special Olympics Southern California, KUSI News, and NBC7 San Diego. In his free time, Fidel enjoys trying to break 100 in golf, watching college football, and exploring San Rafael.
