Marina Butler joined the Dominican women's lacrosse coaching staff in September 2024 as the assistant coach after five years as an NCAA Division I player at Detroit Mercy.
Butler was a five year starter for the Titans, serving as team captain for the final two years of her career. She helped lead Detroit Mercy to its first conference tournament appearance and its first championship in six years. She was named to the MAC Honor Roll from 2021-24 earning the MAC President's award as a senior as well as being named to the MAC All-Academic Team in 2024.
The Rochester, New York, native earned her bachelor's in Business Administration while also obtaining an MBA from Detroit Mercy.Â
