Tessa Leaea joined Dominican women's volleyball as a volunteer assistant coach in July 2021.
She comes to Dominican with two years of coaching experience at for Cesar Chavez and Western Ranch High School in her hometown of Stockton, California. Leaea played collegiately at Nevada earning All-Mount West Conference Honorable Mention as a senior middle blocker for the Wolfpack. She left Nevada in the program's top-five for points with 1,412 and total blocks with 452. She then went on to play professionally Alcobendas, Spain, and Bar, Montonegro.
She earned a bachelor's in general studies and also has a master's in physical education and coaching.
