Rourk joined the coaching staff for the 2013 season. A native of Fair Oaks, Calif., Rourk came to Dominican as a student-athlete but sustained a pair of knee injuries during her career which limited her time on the field. In her senior season, 2013, she took on the role of team manager, where the Penguins had their most successful season as a member of NCAA Division II.
Rourk earned Summa Cum Laude honors and graduated with a BA in Graphic Design in 2013 with a minor in Sports Management. She was also a part of honor societies, including athletics honor society Chi Alpha Sigma.
Her thesis work was concentrated on sports photography that highlighted the coaches and student-athletes at Dominican. This series of photos documented the moments between the plays and tells a story of passion, strength, and intensity in the moments between the play on the field
Rourk assisted in leading one of Dominican's campus ministries, Roots. She also partnered with other students to organize Gift of Love outreach project in 2012, a clean up day for the park services in Marin.
Additionally, Rourk has participated in four trips with SportQuest. She has traveled to Indianapolis, Belgium, London, and San Diego. She was married in Summer 2014.
