Coach Aikens joined the Dominican women's basketball staff for the 2012-13 season. In addition to coaching basketball, he has also served as the head freshman baseball coach as well as the assistant head coach for freshman and junior varsity football at Novato High School.
The scope of Coach Aiken's extends far beyond the field of play. A television personality, chef, and author, he has received numerous awards for his work with literacy. He was chosen as one of fifty heroes by Dan Rather's American Heroes and was a White House Literacy Award Nominee in 1993. ABC 7 in San Francisco presented Coach Aikens with the Profile in Excellence award.
A graduate of Limestone University in South Carolina, Coach Aikens is working towards the completion of his Master of Education at Dominican.
He splits his time between Novato and Conyers, Georgia. He has three children, Cole, Curtis Jr, and Catherine Laura.
