Biography

2011: Did not play in a game in the fall as a freshman, but became starter on defense in the spring of 2012. Named to 2011-12 Pacific West Conference All-Academic Team.

Personal: Son of Wendy and Chris Read. Sisters, Megan and Shelby. Team captain for Hemet High School. Named first team All-SoCal League in 2011. Named Honorable Mention All-Area team. Played on same club team (Arsenal) as Dominican teammates Cory Vanderpool, Dale Howard and Carl Fitzgerald. Nicknamed "Agassi" in high school for the length he wore his hair, similar to tennis star Andre Agassi early in his professional career.
