Lawley joined Dominican in July 2015 ahead of the 2016 campaign. In four years as head coach at Tamalpais High School in nearby Mill Valley, California, Lawley amassed a winning 72-37 record, including an impressive 9-3 postseason mark. Her teams all posted winning records and advanced to the North Coast Section Division 3 playoffs. Lawley led the Red Tailed Hawks to the school's first section title in 2014 and the team nearly repeated with another appearance in the finals in 2015.

At Dominican, Lawley will work in the field with the outfielders and catchers, as well as work day-to-day in the office and with softball camps.

Lawley started her professional career working for The Otter Realm and Napa Valley Register. Upon earning a single subject teaching credential from Sonoma State, she taught at Napa, San Marin, and Tamalpais High Schools, all while honing her coaching skills, the latter two of which were at the varsity level. Lawley has also coached several fastpitch club teams.

Lawley earned her BA in Humanities and Communication with a concentration in Journalism and Media Studies from Cal State Monterey Bay. She is currently enrolled in the Masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia Irvine.
