Cody Worden

With experience as a player and coach at multiple levels, Worden joins Dominican’s soccer staff from NCAA Div. I St. Mary’s College where he was the first assistant and recruiting coordinator. In his four seasons at Saint Mary's, SMC experienced a number of firsts including: first 10-win season, first NCAA Div. I tournament appearance, first back-to back 10-win seasons. Prior to that, Worden was an assistant coach at the University of Texas at Dallas when the Comets advanced to the conference tournament in two consecutive years.

At UTD, Worden doubled as the recruiting coordinator and goalkeeper coach. During that time, the native of Fort Worth also served as the goalkeeper coach for the Dallas-Fort Worth Tornadoes of the Premier Development League. Before returning home to Dallas-Fort Worth, Worden was executive director for the Smoky Mountain Soccer Club in Knoxville, Tn. where he directed his U-16 team to a Tennessee state championship.

As a player, Worden was a four-year lettermen and record-breaking goalkeeper at the University of Dallas where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in History degree in 2003. Worden was the team’s MVP in 2002 when UD won the USCAA National Championship. 

Worden, who also is actively involved in youth soccer in Marin County, is married (Emily), has two dogs named Gordon and Eleanor, and is big fan of Liverpool FC and FC Dallas.
