Trinity Hernandez joined the Dominican University of California golf coaching staff as an assistant coach in August 2026 following a four-year playing career and one season as a volunteer assistant coach at Chico State.
Hernandez competed for the Chico State women’s golf program from fall 2021 through spring 2025 as an NCAA Division II student-athlete. She remained with the Wildcats following her playing career, serving as a volunteer assistant coach from August 2025 through May 2026. In that role, Hernandez gained collegiate coaching experience while working with a program she had represented throughout her undergraduate career.
She has extensive experience developing young athletes and helping operate competitive events in the sport. Hernandez has served as a golf instructor with First Tee - Coachella Valley since June 2022, creating and adapting lessons for individual and group instruction while emphasizing leadership, perseverance, respect and teamwork. She previously worked as an assistant tour manager with U.S. Kids Golf from 2017-22, assisting with tournament logistics, registration, results and communication with golf course staff, athletes and families.
Hernandez was a member of Chico State’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee from fall 2022 through spring 2025. She also participated in the university’s CHAARG Club and has been involved in numerous leadership, service and fundraising initiatives. Hernandez helped raise $10,000 for First Tee - Coachella Valley in 2021 and previously assisted with a Leukemia & Lymphoma Society campaign that raised $23,000. Her community involvement has also included service with the FIND Food Bank, the City of Indio Youth Advisory Council and First Tee - Coachella Valley.
Her honors include receiving the Jim Kane - Alumni of First Tee Scholarship in 2021 and 2024, and Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Student of the Year recognition in 2021. She was also named First Tee Coachella Valley Player of the Year in 2018.
Hernandez earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology from Chico State in December 2025. Her professional experience outside of coaching includes work as a physical therapy aide, caregiving professional and golf course maintenance staff member.
