Biography
2011: Was Dominican's first finisher in first meet of the season at Hornet Jamboree Invitational in Sacramento on Sept. 11 with time of 24:25 over 5K course. Fastest time was 21:14 clocked over 3-mile course at Sonoma State Invitational on Oct. 2. Named team's 'Newcomer of the Year' at post-season awards ceremony. Named to PacWest Academic All-Conference team.
Personal: Didn't enter his first competive running race until 2010 when he competed in Carson Valley Days Walk, Jog, Run for Prevention. Qualified for the National High School Rodeo Finals three times while at Douglas from 2006-08. Competed in cutting and finished in the top 30 among more than 100 competiors each year. Has the image of a horse tattooed on his left arm. Will student teach at Hamilton Elementary School in Novato in 2011-12. Member of the
Penguin Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (PSAAC).
