Matt Davis joined the Dominican men's basketball staff as an assistant coach in August of 2023.
Davis is entering his 38th season as a coach, having spent 10 years at the high school level, 14 years at the junior college level, and the past 13 years at the four-year level, most recently at CSU East Bay and Holy Names. Â In addition to his coaching duties, Davis taught high school English and history and then taught college composition and literature for 16 years.
A native of Palo Alto, California, Davis graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a BA in Communication Studies before moving to Sacramento, Calif., where he earned an MA in English at Sacramento State. Â He and his wife Jodi have two daughters.
