Matt Davis joined the Dominican men's basketball staff as an assistant coach in August of 2023.

Davis is entering his 38th season as a coach, having spent 10 years at the high school level, 14 years at the junior college level, and the past 13 years at the four-year level, most recently at CSU East Bay and Holy Names.  In addition to his coaching duties, Davis taught high school English and history and then taught college composition and literature for 16 years.

A native of Palo Alto, California, Davis graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a BA in Communication Studies before moving to Sacramento, Calif., where he earned an MA in English at Sacramento State.  He and his wife Jodi have two daughters.
