2012: Named team captain. Opened season with 8K time of 30:21 at San Francisco Invitaional in Golden Gate Park on Sept. 1. Was the team's second finisher at the Hornet Jamboree in Sacramento on Sept. 8 with a four-mile time of 24:41.5 to place 85th overall. Posted time of 32:18 in 8K at Mills Invitational on Sept. 15. Had time of 31:48 to finish 28th overall in Sonoma State Invitational on Sept. 22. Was Dominican's first runner across finish line in Crystal Springs Invitational on Oct. 6 with 8K time of 30:10. Recorded personal best 8K time of 29:30.6 in placing 93rd in Bronco Invitational Open on Oct. 13. Placed 73rd at Pacific West Conference championships on Oct. 27 in Hawaii with 8K time of 32:08.8. Member of Dominican Honors Program Scholars of the World/Interdisciplinary Study. Earned Men's Cross Country Coaches Award at all-sports award ceremony in April 2013… Named to PacWest Academic All-Conference Team.
2011: First team finisher for the Penguins in the six meets he entered. Began the season with a cast on left forearm to mend fractured wrist. Posted team-best 27.07 time in the 5K at the Hornet Jamboree at Sacramento State on Sept. 10 wearing cast. Finished 39th overall without cast in Sonoma State Invitational on Oct. 1. Named to Pacific West Conference Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll the following week after competing in the Broncos Invitational at Santa Clara University. Posted best 8K time (30:47.9) in finishing 49th overall at the Pacific West Conference Championships hosted by Grand Canyon University in Arizona on Oct. 29. Named Most Outstanding Runner for Dominican men's cross country for second consecutive year at all-sports awards ceremony in April 2012… Named to PacWest Academic All-Conference Team.
2010: Named team captain. Was Dominican's top runner in final six meets of the season. Highest finish was fifth place in the Sonoma State Invitational on Oct. 2 with a time of 18:03 over 3-mile course. Also placed seventh overall in Dominican Invitational with a time of 20:24 over 5K course in Golden Gate Park on Oct. 26. Was Penguins' first finisher in PacWest Championships in Turtle Bay, Hawai'i, placing 45th overall with time of 31:05.7. Named team's Most Outstanding Runner in post-season awards ceremony… Named to PacWest Academic All-Conference Team.
Before Dominican: Didn't compete on cross country team until junior year in high school at Chinese Christian Schools. Previously competed in competitive swimming
Personal: Son of Polly and Henry So. Brother, Heindrick. Hobbies also include cycling, mountain biking and Xterra off-road triathlons. Won his age group in Xterra Santa Cruz Pacific Championships to qualify for the World Xterra Championships in Maui, Hawaii in October of 2011. Organized "Dominican Racing" mountain bking club along with fellow student-athletes
