2012: Named to PacWest Academic All-Conference Team for third consecutive year… Inducted into National College Athlete Honor Society, Chi Alpha Sigma.

2011: Played in 25 matches and 70 sets, fifth most on team. Led team in assists (344). Had team single-game season-high and career-high 44 assists, four kills and four digs in a five-set win at Chaminade on Oct. 30. Had 31 assists in four-set match vs. Cal Baptist on Nov. 11 and 25 assists in three-match at Hawai'i Pacific on Oct. 31.  Had two service aces vs. Notre Dame de Namur on Sept. 30. Had season-high 12 digs vs. CSU Dominguez Hills on Sept. 2. Had 18 digs in season-ending two games vs. Cal Baptist  Nov. 9-11. Had season-high four kills vs. UC Santa Cruz on Oct. 1… Named to PacWest Academic All-Conference Team for second time.

2010: Transferred from Western Oregon University. Played in 63 sets and 27 matches. Second on team in assists per set (4.25). Had 40 assists, 16 digs at Grand Canyon Oct. 2… Named to PacWest Academic All-Conference Team

2009:  Played in 21 games and eight matches for Western Oregon University… Had second highest setting percentage on team.

Personal: Daughter of Laura and Don Bain. Sister, Brianna. Born in Naples, Italy, Sarah won 12 varsity letters in four sports (volleyball, swimming, track and field and golf), as did her younger sister, Brianna, who is attending Stanford University and competing in track and field. Sarah was an All Metro League setter and team captain for three consecutive seasons in high school for Aloha Warriors where she was named the school's "Athlete of the Year" as a senior. She also was a competitive dancer for six years before college. Sarah is a big fan of Harry Potter, Glee and roller coasters. She aspires to be an ophthalmologist, though she has far-sighted astigmatism. Played club volleyball for Portland Volleyball Club. Transferred to Dominican from Western Oregon University. Member of Tri Beta Biological Society, Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society and Gamma Sigma Honor Society at Dominican.
