SAN RAFAEL, Calif.- Dominican men's lacrosse matched up against newly added conference foe Northwest Nazarene University Friday afternoon on home turf. This game was back-and-forth throughout, but it was the Nighthawks who would outlast the Penguins 11-9.
Sophomore
Will Elfline continued his scoring after dropping five goals on Dominican (N.Y.), the Arizona native went out and posted a game high five goals against the Nighthawks. The Penguins offense also continues to get going from the faceoff wins courtesy of freshman
Hunter Smith. Smith has solidified himself in the faceoff role and Friday afternoon he won a game high 13 while also collecting seven ground balls.
Wyatt Holtman once again anchored the defense for Dominican as he everywhere on the backend swiping away three steals while collecting four ground balls which was second on the team right behind Smith.
The Penguins will now hit the road to take on RMAC opponent Colorado Mesa March 20
th at 7 p.m. MST.
