IRVINE, Calif.- Dominican men's lacrosse traveled down south Saturday afternoon to square off against conference foe the Golden Eagles of Concordia University Irvine.
Calvin Welsh, the freshman out of Irvine, was amped up to return home as he led the black and gold offense on the day collecting a team high three goals. Welsh has been a bright spot for the Penguins throughout the season and now has 11 goals and counting.
Mateo Polanco was right behind Welsh in the offensive department as he posted two on the day.
Cole Rutz was manning the cage for Dominican, and he collected a game high 24 saves.
Casey Garcia led the Pengs scooping up three ground balls.
The Penguins will return to action April 2
nd when they travel to NNU at 7 p.m. MST
