GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Dominican men's lacrosse traveled to the rocky mountain state to kick-start their weekend Friday night against the Mavericks of Colorado Mesa University. CMU came into this game with the Pengs ranked No. 10.
Sophomore
Will Elfline continued his hot start to the season as he finished the game with two goals giving him 17 and counting for the year. Freshman
Calvin Welsh made some noise offensively for the Pengs as he also posted two goals against the Mavericks.
Fellow freshman
Wyatt Holtman once again was the leader on the defensive side of the ball as he scooped up a team high four ground balls while also forcing a turnover.
Tristan Lawrence and
Cruz Maynes led the black and gold in the steals department as they both finished with three apiece.
Dominican will be back in action March. 22
nd when they travel to Adams State at 12 p.m. MST.
