SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – Dominican men's basketball wrapped up their season on senior day with a match-up against Biola.
Dale Currie,
Marcus McCutchen,
Garrett Siebels, and
Carter Plousha were all honored before the game for senior day. The Eagles would go on to win 62 to 52, but two seniors posted double digits in scoring.
Dale Currie who was celebrated before the game as one of the four seniors dropped a game-high 18 points while dishing out three assists. Fellow senior
Marcus McCutchen was tied for second on the team in scoring with 10 points while going a perfect 6 for 6 from the charity stripe.
The Eagles came out on fire early on jumping out to a 15-point lead at halftime. Like they've done all year, the Penguins didn't give-up. Coming out of half, Dominican's offense started to find its rhythm. Senior
Garrett Siebels had some big buckets in the second half finishing with nine points while knocking down a couple threes.
Junior
Brendon Johnson ended the game with 10 points while grabbing six rebounds. Fellow junior
Nathan Ilunga led the Penguins in rebounds hauling in 10 in the game.
Even though the Penguins were down numerous players throughout the season, they never backed down from a challenge winning seven conference games.
