SAN RAFAEL, Calif.- Dominican women's tennis hosted Hawaii Hilo Saturday afternoon. The Penguins were able to win the doubles point but would end up losing 4-3 to the Vulcans.
Audrey Rafols and
Gina Dudley made quick work of their opponents winning 6-0 in doubles No. 1. The Penguins would secure the doubles point when
Carolina Guerrero and
Deepalakshmi Vanaraja defeated their opponents 6-3.
Rafols and Dudley would keep their momentum going heading into singles. Rafols defeated McKenna Mountain in three sets and
Gina Dudley won her singles in twos sets. Hilo would go on to win the next four single matches giving them their first victory of the season.
Dominican will be back on the courts March 1st at Stanislaus State.Â
