Dominican women's basketball hosted Azusa Pacific Saturday afternoon to kick-off PacWest play. The Cougars outlasted the Penguins in a gritty hard-fought game 65-60.
Senior leader
Jenna Duley led the way for Dominican dropping a game-high 22 points on 8 for 14 from the field. The Rocklin native also went 4 from 7 from long range which kept the Penguins within striking distance.
This game was a defensive battle from the first tip to the last buzzer, but that's how conference games are. Dominican held the Cougars to 38% shooting they just couldn't capitalize on their opportunities at the other end.

Mikayla Amoroso made her presence felt off the bench for the Penguins as she went for six rebounds while dishing out a game-high five assists. Freshman

Tim LaKose was second on the team with nine points while going a perfect 4 for 4 from the charity stripe.
Dominican will look to bounce back next Tuesday night when they host Chaminade at 5:30 p.m.
