Dominican women's volleyball team began their Hawaii road-trip in Hilo Wednesday night against the Vulcans. The Penguins would end up falling to Hawaii Hilo 3 sets to zero, but there were some bright spots in this one for Dominican.

Senior Amani Abed and junior Ella Heckman were giving the Vulcans trouble all night on defense as they collected three blocks each. Dominican would end up out-blocking the Vulcans by one at the end of the night. 

Fresh off her six kills and three blocks performance against Academy of Art, sophomore Jasmine Heyward led the Penguins with 10 kills. Freshman Christina Muller was busy in the assists department dishing out 13.

The Penguins will travel to Honolulu Friday night when they square off against Chaminade at 9 p.m.
