Dominican traveled south on Friday night to face off against the Gators of San Francisco State in the CSUMB crossover tournament.
Senior
Jenna Duley led Dominican in this one going for 17 points while shooting 7 for 10 from the field. The Rocklin native was also an assassin from deep knocking down 3 out of 4 from behind the arc.
The Penguins came out the gates strong as they scored 25 points in the first quarter and didn't look back. They also got a huge contribution from their bench outscoring the Gators 37 to 9. Junior
Andraya Perez led the way in that department for Dominican posting 13 points and dishing out six assists off the bench.
Mikayla Amoroso and
Adia Walker had eight points each off the bench and brought great energy to the floor when they were in. Pepperdine transfer
Hailey Hoff did was she was brought in to do as she helped spread the floor for the second unit while knocking down two from behind the arc.
Dominican once again dominated in the paint collecting 34 points in comparison to 12 for the Gators. Sophomore
Keyonee Neal enforced her will down low going for 10 points while swatting away three blocks.
The Penguins are back at it tomorrow afternoon as they face CSU Monterey Bay at 2 p.m.
