San Rafael, CALIF. – Dominican University of California women's soccer (2-6-4, 0-4-1) fell to conference foe Biola (3-6-1, 2-1-0) by a score of 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.
 
Neither team was able to find the target in the early stages, with Biola recording one shots and Dominican earning a pair courtesy of seniors 
Tanya Bills and 
Alison McNeal. The first shot on target came in the 13
th minute, but Hert was up to the task as she kept the game even. It would be 22 minutes before Hert tallied more saves, earning a pair of stops on balls that were directed towards the bottom portion of the frame. Despite the opportunities, the game stayed even as the teams head to their respective benches for halftime.
 
Biola earned the advantage almost immediately after the second half began when Jazmin Montalvo headed in a ball that was sent her way by Marije Rechin, giving the visitors a 1-0 lead. Junior 
Alejandra Melendez earned a shot on target in the 62
nd minute, by Eagles' keeper Anna Boyer steered it aside. Hert returned the favor just two minutes later when Biola forward Mason Stansberry sent a strike towards the bottom right corner of the target, but Hert stood tall.
 
Biola doubled its lead in the 70
th minute when a pass towards the center of the box went off a Dominican defender and onto the foot of Mason Stansberry who sent the ball into the back of the net, setting the score to 2-0. A third and final goal came less than 10 minutes later, this time with Stansberry playing gift-fiver as she recorded an assist on a Peyton Nelson strike. The 3-0 score held to the end, giving the Eagles a victory on the road.
 
Dominican sent four shots towards the target as Bills tallied three strikes with McNeal and Melendez both adding pairs of their own. Hert recorded four stops on the afternoon while junior 
Eryn Tufts was the lone Penguin to play all 90 minutes.
