AZUSA, Calif. – Dominican men's soccer fell 4-0 Saturday afternoon to Azusa Pacific in a difficult match at Cougar Soccer Field in the blazing heat.
The Cougars (8-2-2) out shot the Penguins (5-1-2) 19-4 with an 8-4 advantage in shots on frame. senior goalkeeper
Ruben Raygoza made four saves as he faced constant pressure from the Cougars. Junior goalkeeper
Sam Prusynski came into the game for the last twenty-one minutes after Raygoza's struggles, and did not allow any goals.

Thomas Van Schoor led Dominican with 2 shots on goal that were both near misses. The Penguins pushed hard on offense trying to cut into the APU lead throughout after falling in an early hole.
Gregorie Diep opened the scoring for the Cougars as he took a free kick from just outside the box and put the ball past the wall and inside the back post for the 1-0 lead in the 25th minute. A poor clearance by Dominican in the 38th minute found the feet of Marco Astorga who quickly put a shot inside the lower-left 90 to double the lead before the half.
The second half Dominican looked stronger defensively, but Daniel Osei-Tutu found a gap and scored another goal for the cougars extending the lead 3-0 in the 57thminute. Soon before the goal-keeper change for Dominican, Astorga crossed it to David Kwinn who kicked it into the back of the net on his first touch to add one last goal making it 4-0 in the 76th minute.
The Penguins will be back on the turf on Wednesday, October 20th as they take on Fresno Pacific at 2 pm PDT at Kennelly Field
