The Penguins trailed by three with 3:36 left in the first half and twice had opportunities to cut the lead further but instead found themsleves trailing 47-40 at the half.
Chaminade pushed the lead to 10 in the second half but a 10-3 run pulled the Penguins back within three with just over 15 minutes to go.
Russell Davis' contested layup a minute later pulled the Penguins within one. However, Dominican couldn't pull even or take the lead. Instead, the Silverswords answered with an 8-0 run that extend the lead back to double digits. A Hu three-point play made it at 13-point game. Dominican scored five points in the last 15 seconds and had an opportunity to score again but time expired.
