IRVINE, Calif. – Dominican University of California freshman Kelsey Goodner has been named this week's PacWest Softball Newcomer of the Week. The award is based on games played March 2-8.
 
Goodner made two scoreless relief appearances on the week, throwing 3.0 innings in each. She struck out four and allowed just one hit at Notre Dame de Namur. She struck out a career-high five and allowed just one hit against Holy Names to earn her first-career save.
