TURLOCK, Calif. — The Dominican University of California softball team dropped three games on Saturday in the second day of the Tournament of Champions hosted by Cal State Stanislaus. Dominican opened play with a 10-2 loss to Humboldt State in five innings, then dropped a tough 3-0 decision to Saint Martin's, and closed out the night with an 11-3 loss in five innings to Cal State Dominguez Hills.
The Penguins advance to the Platinum Bracket on Sunday, March 29 and will face No. 21 Sonoma State. First pitch is slated for 9 a.m. on Field 5 at Pedretti Sports Complex.
