IRVINE, Calif. – This week's PacWest Volleyball Freshman of the Week is Dominican University of California's Shannon RiggioKerley. The award is based on matches played Oct. 13-19.
 
Riggio-Kerley helped Dominican to a sweep of its Bay Area counterparts Holy Names and Notre Dame de Namur on Oct. 16 and 18. The Covington, Washington native recorded 21 kills, 24 digs, and six blocks across the two matches. She turned in her second-career double-double with 11 kills and a career-high 17 digs at NDNU. The 17 digs were a career-high, as were her five block assists.

Dominican will next depart for a three-match trip to Hawai'i, where they Penguins will face UH Hilo, Hawai'i Pacific, and Chaminade from Oct. 24-26.
